Green Planet Landscaping partnered with Habitat for Humanity Las Vegas, the non-profit organization that provides hardworking local families with decent affordable housing, to landscape seven properties on Gregory Street, the first of which was dedicated on October 11, 2007, making it the 60th home built by Habitat for Humanity in Clark County since 1991.

Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, Habitat builds homes which are sold to eligible families for no profit, financed with affordable no interest loans. It is not a giveaway

program. In addition to a down payment and monthly mortgage payments, homeowners invest hundreds of labor hours constructing their house and the houses of others.

This program strengthens our economy and makes our community a better place to live and work. Green Planet Landscaping shares that commitment to enrich the lives of those less fortunate, generating a positive ripple effect throughout the Las Vegas Valley.

Providing water efficient, aesthetically pleasing, child friendly landscape for seven homes is a major undertaking for us. Incredibly, we are the only landscape company that has taken the initiative. Raising almost $10,000 in three short hours on September 27, the grand opening of our showroom and design center, was encouraging. But realistically, we achieved our goal when we reached out to our valued vendors for a helping hand.

The immediate need for materials to landscape the home recently dedicated by U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid was expressed. The support of John Deere Landscapes, Hurley’s Nursery, Vista Landscapes and American Rock was paramount to the successful completion of the first Gregory Street landscape. Your loyalty did not go unnoticed and we want to say sincerely, “Thank you.”
